Hugh Jackman had a pretty brutal time of it as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, but unsurprisingly, he handled it like a total gentleman.
More than 20 (!) years after the first X-Men movie, Hugh's co-star and fellow mutant Anna Paquin has opened up about the gruelling on-set experience they shared, admitting that he was "put through the wringer" during filming.
Anna – who played Rogue in X-Men and its sequels The Last Stand and Days of Future Past – spoke on SiriusXM about the perils of being Wolverine.

Admitting he was her best friend in the first movie, she added: "[Hugh] got put through the wringer on that first one and never, ever complained.
"It's minus 40 [degrees Fahrenheit] and he's being dropped off some building onto his back over and over and over again – and still has all the time in the world to be a nice, normal person."
Clearly fond of her former superhero colleague, Anna added: "Hugh was the person I was always closest with because I had all my scenes with him, and he's just wonderful."
