Orange Is the New Black star Laura Prepon says she hasn't acted since the popular Netflix show ended, because it's "hard to find something that lives up to" it.
From 2013 to 2019, she played former drug dealer Alex Vause in the comedy-drama, which centred on a whole host of inmates inside of a women's prison.
Created by Weeds' Jenji Kohan, and loosely based on Piper Kerman's memoir of the same name, the series also starred Natasha Lyonne, Star Trek's Kate Mulgrew, Samira Wiley and Taylor Schilling.

Unlike her co-stars, though, who have gone onto other projects such as Russian Doll, The Handmaid's Tale and Pam & Tommy, Prepon – who welcomed her second child with husband Ben Foster in February 2020 – hasn't come across anything she'd have been desperate to work on over the last two years.
"Orange Is the New Black was so incredible, to work with all of those incredible actors and direct multiple episodes, it's hard to find something that lives up to that," she explained to People.
"Now, my first question is how long is it going to take me away from my family. Now that I have two kids, everything is a family decision. I miss acting but my life is pretty dominated by my entrepreneurial stuff. Right now, it's kind of a one-woman show over here!"

In the same interview, the 41 year old confirmed that she is no longer a practicing Scientologist, and that motherhood has taught her that "something can work out for a period of time and then you move on and evolve from that."
She added: "I've always been very open-minded, even since I was a child. I was raised Catholic and Jewish. I've prayed in churches, meditated in temples. I've studied Chinese meridian theory. I haven't practiced Scientology in close to five years and it's no longer part of my life."
Orange is the New Black is streaming now on Netflix.
