What’s Special about this Indoor Waterpark
Kalahari Resorts in Round Rock is the largest indoor waterpark resort in America under one roof at 223,000 sqft. This waterpark is massive, with 30 slides, 20 pools, a wave pool, exhilarating rides for one, two, or four people, mat races, a surf simulator to show off your surfing skills, a kid’s watering hole, and of course, an adult one as well. With nearly 1000 rooms, multiple dining options, a fitness center, a full-service spa, and plenty of shopping, this resort offers everything for your entire stay.
The entire resort is inspired by Africa, including the names of the most thrilling rides. You can ride the Barrelling Baboon, where you slide through twists and turns into an oscillating funnel with even more surprises, Kenya Korkscrew, Sahara Sidewinders, Serengeti Spinner, and Wild Wildebeest. These exhilarating rides all start inside, but some water slides twist their way outside the building, leaving an air of mystery on what to expect during the ride. The exception is the Screaming Hyena, where you start above the roof, then drop 60 feet to the main floor.
Find moments of peace from all the exhilaration by lounging in the lazy river or sitting at the edge of the wave pool. The wave pool has a giant LED display screen with surround sound mounted on the pool’s back wall to entertain you with interactive video games, trivia, and dive-in movie experiences. All this and more can make it a pretty exciting day at the Kalahari Round Rock Indoor Waterpark.
