22.42 BST: Harry Redknapp is keeping things British at QPR, if he can. "We need to stay in the league this year so we know what we are getting with the [Steven] Caulkers and the Rios [Ferdinand]. 17.25 BST: The Mirror journalist Darren Lewis has today told TalkSport that Wilfried Bony is desperate to join Liverpool but the Reds decided to go for Loic Remy instead because the difference in price was so vast. The Swansea man has a £19 million release clause while £8.5 million will be enough for Remy's services.

17.21 BST: Slightly surprised we haven't seen many more rumours about Micah Richards this summer. We are always looking to improve but we don't expect big change."

16.08 BST: We all thought Olivier Giroud's rise from relative rags to rather large riches was a one-off. Well, it may not be, AND it is another Frenchman looking to go from the lower leagues to the very top of the game. Andy Delort, the 24-goal striker from Tours who fired them to promotion to Ligue 1 last season is on the radar of Spanish champions and Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid.

I am keen to contribute to the pursuit of further success. I've spoken to Allegri and I have a strong desire to get to work. I've wanted to play for Juve for a long time and the club have always shown a strong interest in me. I feel ready. I know it will be hard, but I'm ready to tackle Serie A head on.''

14.52 BST: Newcastle continue to haggle over the price of Sporting Lisbon's English centre-back Eric Dier. The 20-year-old moved to Portugal when he was seven years old and is now commanding a £5 million fee which the Magpies don't want to pay. 13.44 BST: Apparently the deal includes an option to buy for Porto though Real Madrid have an option to buy-back a year after that should Porto exercise that right. Only a little complicated...

13.42 BST: Linked with anyone and everyone. It appears Real Madrid TV's Phil Kitromilides has finally revealed where Casemiro will be playing his football next season.

Martins' contract doesn't run out until December and the Turkish club aren't willing to wait until then for their man to arrive and so have told the Seattle Sounders to keep Martins for the remainder of the MLS season.

13.32 BST: It always felt inevitable Stefan de Vrij would sign for Lazio, all summer long, and with any luck it seems that deal could be tied up over the weekend. Sky Sport Italia are claiming Feyenoord are set to accept an £8 million bid from Lazio, £1 million more than the Italians wanted to offer but also £1 million less than their initial asking price. Everyone walks away happy.

I chose Schalke because it is the ideal club for my growth and the Bundesliga is one of the most important leagues in the world."

12.10 BST: Lucky lucky Atletico Madrid. They are set to receive a small windfall from the sale of Alvaro Morata to Juventus. 12.00 BST: Spurs fans, no crying now! Sandro, endearingly dubbed "the Beast", is apparently the reason Franco Baldini has toodled off to Italy according to SportItalia. The Spurs supremo is looking to flog the Brazilian to Napoli who have shown serious interest in him for around £12 million. Apparently Baldini is also speaking to Roma about a move for £13 million striker Destro who could be available as the capital club look to raise funds to sign Xherdun Shaqiri from Bayern Munich.

11.45 BST: The man is a total legend and the news Antonio Di Natale rejected a £10 million-per-year wage at Guangzhou Evergrande to stay at Udinese on a reported £1.2 million contract is absolutely magic.

11.40 BST: Napoli are in talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen's £12 million rated midfielder Cristoph Kramer. According to Il Mattino and Tuttosport, the Partonopei have upped their initial £8 million offer and could use either Blerim Dzemaili or Valon Behrami in a part-exchange deal.

11.32 BST: All the same clubs going for all the same players! Liverpool now seem closest to signing Newcastle's Loic Remy according to the Mirror. Remember this is after Remy had been reportedly close to signing for both Tottenham and Arsenal this summer. Feel like this transfer has a way to go yet.

10.53 BST: Further to that Romelu Lukaku update we had earlier...

10.50 BST: Don't say it too loudly but 'wheeler-dealer' Harry Redknapp has told reporters he will not be making the same mistakes as the last time QPR won promotion to the Premier League. Two years ago the R's spent a lot of money on a lot of players who didn't gel together or care about the future of the club.

And Redknapp has now said: "I think Tony [Fernandes, chairman] and the board have learned from that so we have got to make sure this time, as best we can, we make the right decisions and get the right characters in here. We don't want people who are going to come here just for the money and not be interested in the club. We want people who genuinely want to come here and play and do well for us."

Now the south Londoners have to convince their targets to join with Sigurdsson said to be sceptical.

10.32 BST: Big claim from the Daily Mail who say Romelu Lukaku is willing to turn his back on Champions League football, after declaring he wanted to leave Chelsea for a team in the competition, and join Everton. If you hadn't noticed, Everton aren't in the Champions League. But apparently his loan spell there last season could persuade him to sign a deal with the Goodison Park outfit.

10.23 BST: Al-Arabi are continuing their spending spree this summer by signing Guingamp's Malian international Mustapha Yatabare for £2.5 million according to L'Equipe.

10.20 BST: Spurs look set to make their first signing of the summer in the form of Swansea City's left back Ben Davies. Liverpool had been interested in the Welsh youngster but it appears Spurs are going to conclude a deal in the next 24 hours while both clubs are in the US on pre-season tours. Read the full story here.

10.10 BST: More from Arsenal as apparently their bid to sign Colombian goalie David Ospina has been derailed by a last minute bid from Valencia. And the Mirror say that the Gunners are now looking to persuade under-fire Iker Casillas to inform Real Madrid he wants to leave for more first-team football.

10.06 BST: Sami Khedira or James Milner? Apparently Arsenal are keeping an eye on the latter's situation at Manchester City as he is seeking assurances about his place in the first team. Should he want to move, it looks like Arsene Wenger would happily take the England international to the Emirates according to the Mirror.

10.00 BST: Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has told all his players, even the ones he has been shunning, they have a chance to impress him over the summer according to the Daily Star. Alan Hutton and Darren Bent must be chomping at the bit having been cut out of the first-team in recent times...

09.52 BST: Three Serie A clubs are battling it out for the signature of Manchester City's young defender Matija Nastasic. Several outlets are reporting Roma are leading the chase for the Serbian but are baulking at the £19 million asking price. Fiorentina and Inter Milan are also interested.

09.45 BST: One of the brightest lights in Spanish football could be on his way to the Premier League with Liverpool. Isco has emerged as a shock target for the Reds according to the Express as they look to spend the £75 million they received from the Suarez-deal. Reports in Spain have suggested Isco may be pushed out of the Bernebeu when James Rodriguez signs for Los Blancos plus the fact Sami Khedira looks to be staying put.

09.37 BST: Frank Lampard is set to join Manchester City-owned MLS franchise New York City FC next week. Press Association Sport understands Lampard has been impressed with the club's vision and will sign a contract with the American club in the coming days.

09.30 BST: Atletico Madrid are never going to stop this transfer window, are they?

09.26 BST: He's young, he's French and he is a bit cheaper than Sami Khedira. Therefore he is an Arsenal target. Morgan Schneiderlin is on Arsene Wenger's radar according to reports after the Gunners failed to agree terms with Khedira.

09.20 BST: Chelsea fans, sit back, relax and watch the rest of the transfer window unfold. Jose Mourinho has announced he is happy with his squad and the Blues won't be signing anybody else. Therefore all Chelsea rumours are now null and void! He said: "We finished the market today. The transfer market closes 31 August and we close on July 19."

09.13 BST: The chase for the signature of Daley Blind is set to intensify as Barcelona have decided the might go after him. Mundo Deportivo claim the Catalan club have given up on signing Jeremy Mathieu and Marquinhos and have also decided the likes of Mads Hummels and Jan Vertonghen are no longer on their priority list. The Spanish newspaper claim Barca chiefs were attracted to Blnd's ability to play out from the back.

09.06 BST: We'll start the day then with some confirmation of the widely reported ransfer last night of Fabio Borini from Liverpool to Sunderland. The fee is said to be around £14 million. That's a lot for a player who has flattered to deceive but certainly has the potential to realise a transfer fee of that size.

Morata moves on from Madrid

It's been clear for quite some time that Alvaro Morata would leave Real Madrid. And while Arsenal and Liverpool supporters crossed their fingers the 21-year-old Spanish striker would land on English soil, it's long seemed as though Juventus was his future home.

Morata arrived in Turin on Friday ahead of a reported 22 million-euro move and is expected to be announced as a Juventus player on Saturday. Morata will be joined as a Juventus player, according to Sky Italia, by Patrice Evra. Sky reports that Evra has agreed a two-year contract, while stories in France and Italy cite a 2 million-euro transfer fee and that the player will be formally announced on Saturday.

No home for Lukaku?

Because of the activity at Juventus, not to mention Atletico Madrid's capture of Mario Mandzukic, it seems that Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku now has nowhere on the continent to go. And with boss Jose Mourinho not keen to sell the Belgian to a title rival, Everton has emerged as the favourite to land Lukaku on a permanent deal -- with a deal reported to be wrapped up in the next two days -- according to the Daily Mail.

Another of Chelsea's former prodigies, Josh McEachran, could attempt to follow former teammate Ashley Cole's advice and move abroad. The Daily Telegraph says that the English midfielder has requested to be enrolled in Spanish lessons, and second-division sides in Spain Real Zaragoza and Recreativo Huelva have inquired about his services.

Next move for Chicharito

Already set to miss out on Manchester United's preseason tour of the U.S., Javier Hernandez is one name that continually emerges on manager Louis van Gaal's list of players to sell. According to reports from Tuttosport, Inter Milan have once again registered their interest. The Italian publication reports that Inter would take Chicharito on loan for the 2014-15 season, while further reports in the country claim there will be an option to buy at the end of the year for 9.5 million euros.

New home for Shaq attack

Il Mercato Estivo appears to be in full swing as Roma are chasing yet another big-name signing. Reported Liverpool target and Bayern Munich attacker Xherdan Shaqiri's agent reportedly has been in contact with the Romans, if Il Tempo is to be believed. Of course, after the 22 million-euro signing of Juan Iturbe on Wednesday, it's hard to say how much money will be left for the Shaq attack.
