Jake Paul has tilted the axis. He left the fans dumbfounded with his announcement of fighting Mike Tyson. ‘The Problem Child’ is already working towards the fight’s promotion and has decided to emulate Tyson to the core. How? By getting the famous Mike Tyson face tattoo inked on his face and posting a comical promotion clip.

In a video, boxing fans can witness Paul getting a face tattoo, and he rises to reveal it’s the same one that Tyson has donned for years. “You heard it right, motherf*cker. I’m fighting Mike Tyson, b*tch,” Paul declared as he showed off his new tattoo. However, it might be a fake and only for promotion. That’s what fans believe.

Following this, Paul replicated the famed Tyson clip when the boxer asked Canadian boxer Donovan ‘Razor’ Ruddock to become his ‘girlfriend’. Paul mimicked Tyson and said, “Oh man, I can’t wait for the night of the 20th. I’m gonna make Mike my girlfriend.”

The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter then pulled off another quote from Tyson’s illustrious career. After dismantling Lou Savarese just 38 seconds into their fight, Tyson had called himself the “best ever” and compared himself to Alexander the Great. On similar lines, Paul exclaimed, “I’m the most brutal, vicious, and most ruthless champion there’s ever been… My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable… I want your heart. I want to eat his children. On the 20th, I’ll come out victorious, I promise you.”

But getting back to Tyson’s tattoo, it was a piece of art that instilled fear among his opponents when he was an active boxer. He got the tribal design just days before his bout with Clifford Etienne. It is based on Maori tattooing and is sacred within the community. Why did Mike Tyson get it, though? He thought it would be a hit with the ladies. “I thought it was so hot,” he explained.

Now will Jake Paul be able to handle the legendary boxer with 50 wins and 44 KOs? Only time will tell. But Paul’s family was left shocked after his fight announcement.

In the same video, the fans could witness the 9-1 record holder breaking the news to Logan Paul and the latter’s fiancee, Nina Agdal. “Mike Tyson signed the contract, big boy. He signed the contract,” Paul expressed the excitement before revealing it to his family.

“I’m gonna fight Mike Tyson on Netflix,” Paul can be heard disclosing to the WWE star. Logan Paul, excited by the news, got up and hugged him. While Logan Paul exclaimed, “I f*cking knew it,” Nina Agdal wondered whether Tyson would try to bite off Paul’s ear during the fight.

They are scheduled to fight at the AT&T Stadium on 20 July. The fight will air live on Netflix and this will be the streaming platform’s first broadcast of a combat sports event. Now Paul is 30 years younger than the 57-year-old Tyson. No doubt boxing fans have been criticizing the matchup. But very few can deny that it is a lucrative opportunity. As per the information available, ‘The Problem Child’ earned about $9 million after his loss against Tommy Fury. It is believed the 20 July fight will be much bigger.

Of course, Jake Paul is elated to face someone like Mike Tyson. But what are the latter’s thoughts on the upcoming fight? “He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a kid can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT… It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him,” said Tyson.

The younger Paul brother is currently on a three-fight winning streak after his Tommy Fury loss. With a 9-1 professional record, Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson seems to be a matchup that’s poles apart be it age, experience, skills, or records.
