Los Blancos won the semi-final first-leg 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night, with goals from Pepe, Jese and Angel Di Maria.
But Koke told reporters following the final whistle that Madrid’s victory was down to luck as much as anything and Atletico hadn’t given up yet.
“You saw what happened on the pitch. We didn’t have any luck and couldn’t play the game we wanted,” Koke said.
“Madrid have the advantage. It’ll be difficult but there’s always hope.”
Two of Madrid’s three goals, the first and third scored by Pepe and Di Maria respectively, came after deflections that left Thibaut Courtois stranded.
Koke feels the first goal in particular was crucial.
“They weren’t more intense but had more of the ball but if that first goal doesn’t go in [off Emiliano Insua] then things are better for us.
“In football everything is possible. We will give everything for the team and the fans, because that’s what they deserve.
