Who has the better classic look? Original Mileena and Kitana look ridiculous in these high quality Mortal Kombat 11 stills

It was all the way back in 1993 that we first got to meet Mortal Kombat's twin sisters, Kitana and Mileena. Here nearly 30 years later we've seen both of these characters evolve far beyond their palette swap days of MK2, both becoming staples of the franchise and absolute fan favorites.
Today we're featuring more of virtual photographer TQT's recent work as we take a look at this pair as they appear in Mortal Kombat 11, but clothed in their original attire from back in 1993. Continue on for the classic fashion show.
Bland certainly isn't the right word for the original Kitana and Mileena looks, but perhaps "simple" is the term we're looking for. Relative to some of the more elaborate and gear-filled costumes of modern appearances, simple feels about right for a two-tone top accompanied by gloves, boots, and matching headband.
You don't need complexity for beauty, however, and these stills remind us very quickly of that. Both Kitana and Mileena stun with these old school looks, and the gorgeous visual detail that comes from MK11's engine got us spending time examining even the intricacies of the patterns of fabric textures.
It's hard to get away from competition when you're talking about fighting games and twins, and so we have to ask which of these two sisters wears the look the best. The more regal and proper Kitana is majestically beautiful, but perhaps the visceral Mileena, with her blood stained face and sharpened fingernail claws, is more your thing?
