Inside the Posh Penthouses Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima Stayed at During the Rio Olympics

Airbnb hosted supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima during their Rio Olympics stay, putting up each Brazilian beauty and her family at an Ipanema penthouse of her choosing.

Measuring over 5,000 square feet, Alessandra’s four-bedroom duplex is a veritable palace in the sky.

While the first level houses a fully equipped kitchen and a large living room with a balcony, the upper floor—accessible via a floating staircase—contains an additional cookery, a sauna, a master suite with a king-sized bed, and a second living room that opens to a terrace with an infinity pool facing the beach.

Fit to accommodate up to eight, the property has a fixed rental price of $2,230 per night (with a three-night minimum), and is booked through December.

Just a stone’s throw away, Adriana’s seaside spread offers four en-suite bedrooms and seven baths totaling over 3,700 square feet.

Overlooking Christ the Redeemer—the city’s most iconic statue—the minimalist haven touts an oversized lounge with custom furnishings; a kitchen with brand-new stainless steel appliances; his-and-hers master suites; and a service area with a maid’s room.

Recently renovated, the two-story contemporary is topped with a roof terrace showcasing a lounge, a spa with a large Jacuzzi and steam room, and an al fresco dining area with a grill. It's leasable for $3,760 a night through August, with rates varying depending on the season.

The Victoria's Secret Angels—both of whom partook in the Olympic Torch Relay—are serving as NBC food and culture correspondents throughout the Summer Games.
