I managed to pick up the body lotion of this in a sale.

On slathering myself after my bath, crazy as it may sound, after much puzzling where the scent was so familiar from, it suddenly struck me.

The lotion seems to me to be a dead ringer for much missed Spirit of Moonflower from Body Shop even though the stated notes are so different.

Tropical punch, of orange color. 100% agree with the right side of the pyramid. Mango and some other exotic fruit that I don't even know. :) You want to stick a straw in the bottle and drink it. :)

Definitely a summer scent! A very tasty and fruity fragrance, I think it smells great without being overpowering at all. I smell mostly mango on me with a hint of berries and a very mild watermelon/melon note. Sweet and nice, get it while you can at discount from L'Occitane and before the season ends!

This is a great fruity mango scent, fun for summer sitting by the pool. It's not a serious scent but great for vacation or just something to splash on in the morning to wake up. Lasts about 3 hours, has moderate sillage. The fruit blend is really lovely.

It's like Brazil in a bottle. Rio, more specifically. I've never been to Brazil but in my (sometimes too active) imagination this is what Rio de Janeiro would smell like.
When I smell it, I automatically imagine a vacation in Rio's sunny beach with exotic fruits and pina colada nearby.
Total summer scent - and maybe even fall. For people like me who can't really go to Brazil just yet.

Smelled it a couple days ago and was pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting to reaylly like it, but it's a very juicy mango scent with just the right amount of coconutty-pineappley sweetness. I used the roller on more than one area on my arm, as I was really contemplating to purchase next day, or even maybe later, after having done my grocery shopping in the mall.
Sadly it got so faint on me so fast, and I couldn't even trace it 40 minutes later, by the time I got home. I also tried the other scent on my other arms wrist that launchedb jointly with this, which is an EDC, an aquatic floral, and that one had far better sillage and longevity.
No way would I buy Jenipapo, as it's quite expensive, and one of the weakeet of lasting power I've ever come across. It's supposed to be a perfume oil. Concentrated, hence the 10 ml packaging. But it's already really warm here, so I presume Incould keep aaplying away every hour if I wanted to enjoy this scent.

my local store just got that in recently-I guess it takes a while to get where I live-anyway, I was told that they only had perfumed oil roll on which is what I bought-it smells like tropical cocktail-mangoes and all kinds of exotic fruit. I can not smell ANYTHING else.
I like it a lot. The problem is-its totally weak. Perfume oil is supposed to be pretty potent but not this one. I can get only 30 min or so out of it and its mostly skin scent. I live in tropics where its always humid and tends to amplify all fragrances but not this. A shame because I really like it. Won't repurchase for that reason

If you like fruity scents...
Oh! I bought the shampoo and the conditioner and I can tell you they are AWFUL! Don't buy them!

It's too weak for me, which is a pity because I like the scent.

It would be interesting if someone made a gourmand perfume that smelled of jenipapo liqueur (Thierry Mugler, if you're listening).

So, Susie, unlike the cactus (I agree with you: It smells nothing) we could consider that Jenipapo is quite faithful to the aroma of the fruit. I earned samples when passing by the store, and I've found very similar to the genipap's aroma. Well, at least it has some smell. Anyway, the projection (sillage) and durability (longevity) on the skin I couldn't test yet. The fruit (genipap) is exotic and it has a sweet earthy aroma and mango but it can actually remember being a mix of mango with brown sand (mud). In my view, Jenipapo captures the positive side of fruit that, when overripe, it's more fragrant than stinky. In the North and east, people use the fruit to feed animals (pigs and cattle) or for the manufacture of sweets and desserts. Of all the line, probably the best.

Well... I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I don´t have a clue about how Jenipapo smells or tastes. It´s not a common fruit in my country (like.... it´s not found/sold in every fruit market, like bananas or apples are), I could say that it is related to some specific regions in my country.
So... that being said.... I can´t say if L'Occitane´s Jenipapo smells like the real thing.
It smells a lot of sweet mango at first. Very tropical.
It´s a cologne, so it disappears from skin in 2 hours or less.
