It's an American Idol and Twilight match made in heaven! Folk singer Paul McDonald made quite an impression during his run on American Idol. He caused fans across the nation to swoon… and stole the heart of Twilight's Nikki Reed. After a whirlwind romance and just three months of dating, Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed are engaged!
Sparks flew when the couple first met back in March 2011. They locked eyes on the red carpet during the premiere of Red Riding Hood, and Reed, 23, told McDonald, 26, "You're amazing." Clearly the flattery worked because soon after the premiere, Reed and McDonald stepped out as an item. And now the couple is set to begin wedding planning!
Reed debuted her sparkly engagement ring at last night's MTV Movie Awards and when asked about her Idol beau, she seemed confident that she'd found the man of her dreams, telling E!, "He's the one."
