In honour of her 27th birthday, here are all of the times Zendaya has been the most relatable A-lister

Zendaya-fever has got us.

Zendaya just turned 27 — and she has certainly accomplished a lot in her 27 years.

In fact, the Emmy-Award winner is constantly flooring us with her sheer talent and next-level red carpet outfits, but at heart, she is still a humble Oakland woman. It goes without saying that Zendaya can pull off almost any look, from archive Balenciaga gowns to luxury tailored SportsMax suits and slick back hair, but she has also received countless awards and has just recently made history by becoming the youngest female producer to be nominated for an Emmy.

Yet, despite being named by Times as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, she still appears to be one of the most humble stars of Hollywood. In fact, we think she's still one of the most relatable A-listers of them all.

So, in honour of her 27th birthday, here is every time Zendaya has been just another one of the girls:

Talk about getting real — instead of posting another pro shot in full makeup and couture, Zendaya opted for this adorable baby photo for her 26th birthday. The cute snap shows Zendaya freaking out about something in the pool, complete with butterfly face paint on the side of her face. It's safe to say, this will probably immediately bring back memories of your own childhood.

When Zendaya shared her cooking disaster

Zendaya recently shared yet another relatable and comedic moment with her fans, uploading an Instagram story that read “see now… this is why I don’t cook” with an image of her finger bandaged up (not to mention a pretty incredible black manicure).

She continued to document the night with a series of images showing her getting stitches at the hospital and leaving with her friend Darnell. As many of us 20-something year-olds can attest to, cooking can be quite the minefield.

When Zendaya was walking her dog Noon and chaos broke out

Zendaya has shared her love for her dog Noon countless times. In March, she took to her Instagram stories to share her experience of taking Noon (her miniature schnauzer) shopping with her. Wearing an all-black ensemble featuring a turtleneck and the cutest glasses we've ever seen – giving us ultimate Grandad vibes – she walked along her local shopping streets updating her fans on the latest situation.

She recalls Noon trying to fight another dog (a german shepherd, FYI) in the shop, while, at the exact same time, she discovered they did not accept Apple Pay. Telling us the whole story, she explained the embarrassing moment held up the “whole damn line” and the german shepherd might have been a little “too big for ya kid” to Noon, who she explained had been constipated and “unsuccessfully trying to sh[*]t all day” turning her fans to laughing tears. All dog mums can certainly relate.

When Zendaya had the best reaction to her public fall…

While in Italy, Zendaya was heading to lunch at Eitch Borromini in Rome in a classic all-black look. The paparazzi were quick to film and snap pics of the star as she slipped when walking up the stairs outside the venue. Her security team were quick to save her, but that didn’t stop the paps from sharing the video. Yet Zendaya had the best reaction of them all: she shared the photos to her story along with a video of her crying and laughing as she chuckled to fans “they got me."

She captioned one of the photos "I can't stop laughing... did they really have to take a video of me tripping." She continued to absolutely crack up at the situation, zooming in on her facial expression during the fall.

She even took the time to pay a Marvel tribute in a meme that surfaced of Doctor Strange pushing her mid-air. We’ve all been in those embarrassing moments, it’s clear Zendaya knows how to laugh them off. We all trip in heels from time to time.

When Zendaya shared this cute snap on her 25th birthday

In a world of filtered Instagram photos and edited red carpets photos, not many celebs share relatable photos to the feed. But among Zendaya’s cover photos and glamorous movie premiere looks, she also shared a photo on her 25th birthday which shows her as a child showing off her empty bowl. A true foodie from the start. With red sauce all around her face and a huge grin, Zendaya loves to share real life moments, even from her childhood. All pasta lovers out there know, the best way to eat the bowl is to forget about etiquette and just get your whole face involved.

When Zendaya confessed to loving a good murder doc

True crime girlies, where you at? It turns out, Zendaya is one of you. As the actor told Stephen Colbert, her guilty pleasure is watching murder documentaries. As she explained, after shooting Euphoria, she “became nocturnal” thanks to all of the night shoots. “I just became nocturnal and I just stayed up all night and watched a lot of crime documentaries,” she said. “Not healthy, probably,” she added.

When Zendaya shared a photo of her green juice as proof to her mum

Even in our 20s, sometimes you still can't get away from your mum telling you to eat your greens. Always a relatable queen, back in 2018 Zendaya shared to her Instagram Stories an image of some green juice captioning it “proof to my mum that I’m drinking the damn green juice.”

Zendaya loves her food, when asked on the red carpet of the Met Ball 2015 if she would be eating at the event she didn’t hesitate once to reply “ima eat.” Never taking herself too seriously, not many celebs can be so relatable while standing on the carpet of the most prestigious ball.

When Zendaya rolled her car off a huge curb

We’ve all had our fair share of “did I just really do that?!” driving moments, but Zendaya's own motor moment wins. Wearing a graphic tee, denim jacket, and bold glasses, the star jumped on Instagram Stories to explain she was on her way to her sister's baby shower when she stopped for petrol and on her way out rolled off a “big ass curb” and got stuck. She flipped the camera round to show her car hanging off a huge curb as she waited for AAA to come to help her.

She continued to laugh at herself, as she shows the other exits she could have used, with no raised curb, “you know I could have come out over there or even over there, but you know what I decided to come out right in the middle."

When Zendaya was losing at a spider-man game

Back in 2019, Zendaya was videoing herself and her friend playing the latest Spiderman game on her console. Sporting a graphic Grey's Anatomy T-shirt, glasses, and some PJ bottoms, Zendaya is all of us the second we get home in our comfies. The video shows her stressing out as she continues to lose the game shouting, “MOTHER.. AHHH”, trying not to swear in the moment. Zendaya, we’ve all been there, girl.
