I was born in Puerto Rico on August 21st, 1997. My father was a professor at the University of Puerto Rico and is currently the dean of the General Studies faculty, so my educational background was heavily involved in the University ever since I can remember. I studied at the University's pre-school and kindergarten, at their elementary-school (EEUPR) and high-school (UHS UPR), and finally did my Bachelor's there as well (Rio Piedras campus). I majored in both European History and Comparative Literature; this last one was a recommendation from one of my teachers at the high-school, and I saw dived into the world of both historical and literary theory, I realized how intrinsically connected they were, which lead to many academic passions such as inter-sectionalism and comparativsm, both important aspects of the Global History that we are now studying. My exposure to German culture through language classes and previous trips, as well as the economic accessibility and prestige of the program, are some of the most important circumstances that led to my being here. Other than my academic background and interests, which were summarily mentioned above, I enjoy doing fitness despite some mild joint conditions (I'm an ex-swimmer), I am a flutist, and also enjoy playing different kinds of video games with my friends, as well as socializing.
