Folks, Buffy Summers looks a bit different heading into the warmer weather.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is famous for her flowing blonde hair, and she recently documented a surprise switch-up ahead of Memorial Day weekend. In a new photo uploaded on the actress' Instagram, she debuted a hair transformation with a short-length bob that hit just above her shoulders. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum also lightened her locks, dyeing it a more platinum blonde hue to freshen up her look just in time for the summer.

"Got my summer cut," she wrote on May 26. "All ready for the holiday weekend."

When fans saw the actress her look online, they immediately expressed their love for the change in the comments. "Love your haircut. Giving me season 6 Buffy vibes ❤️," one person wrote on Instagram. "Slaying it SMG 🔥🔥," another chimed in. "Look at our vampire slaying queen 🥹," a different follower raved.

Needless to say, Sarah Michelle can pull off anything she chooses to rock. What's more, this isn't the first time this year that she has chosen to shorten her hair length. She wore a similar hairstyle while promoting her Paramount+ series Wolf Pack back in February, posting a wavier version of the current cut for her followers to see on Instagram.

Although she loves finding different ways to express herself, there are some elements of her fashion sense that stay the same. In an interview with Who What Wear, she revealed that she still owns a pair of boots from her days portraying her lead character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

"We used to say, when the boots went on, you know the fighting was going to happen," she told the outlet. "I still have a pair of those boots in my house that I still fit into."
