Sources Say Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse Are "Thrilled Beyond Words" to Be Expecting

Just a week after news broke that Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson are expecting their first child together, sources close to the couple say that the two are "thrilled beyond words" and "excited" to take on the next phase in their lives and relationship. The source told People that while Pattinson is "smart and keeps his life low-key and out of the spotlight as much as possible," he's very happy.

"He and Suki are very serious and have been. A baby coming is an absolute joy for them," the source said. "They are thrilled beyond words.”

A second source offered a few more details, telling the publication, "They are ready for a child, and looking forward to becoming parents. Even though they are both professionals who work a great deal, this is something they want. They know their lives will change, and they are excited.”

Waterhouse gave her bump its official Instagram debut last week while she was performing at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico. The actress and Pattinson have been together since 2018, when they were seen together in London, though their red carpet appearances together have been scarce and rare — save for a big moment at the 2023 Met Gala. 

In February 2023, Waterhouse offered up some insight into their under-the-radar relationship, telling fans that they make time for each other as much as possible.

"I'm shocked that I'm so happy with someone for nearly five years," she told The Sunday Times. "I had two days off the other day, and it was like, no question I'm going back to see him."

Pattinson, not surprisingly, hasn't released any official statement on the news.
