Roger Espinoza, Honduras headed to Group E in 2014 World Cup Draw

Roger Espinoza helped the Ohio State men's soccer team reach the 2007 national championship game . Now just 7 months after helping Wigan make history by upsetting favored Manchester United to win the 2013 FA Cup, he's leading Honduras into his second ever World Cup where he and the national team will be in Group E. They'll be joined by Switzerland, Ecuador, and France in what's widely being considered a pretty favorable draw.

Espinoza scored his first ever British Premiere League goal, widely considered the best club league in the world, in May as well, during a match against Swansea. Espinoza is just the second ever Big Ten alum to play in the Premiere League and was tied for the lead in games started for the Honduras national team during qualification starting five of the team's qualifying matches.

This will approach the pinnacle of the 27 year old's soccer playing career after previously appearing in the 2012 Olympics (where he scored a goal), playing for Honduras in the 2009 and 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cups, and suiting up for Honduras in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where he appeared in two matches.
