Today, they seek to update their understanding of their customers' challenges. Is turnaround time still a critical feature, or should the next generation of devices focus on other aspects? 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗜𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 IAC Partners conducted a comprehensive customer study to understand their profiles, motivations, and expectations. Highlighting unmet needs was crucial for mission success. We based our analysis on three typical customer profiles. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 : 🔍 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 : We engaged with key client departments, from marketing to global customer service, to establish a comprehensive set of relevant features and requirements for the next-generation device. We identified current and potential customers to participate in our study (quantitative and qualitative). 📊 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 : Once data collection was complete, we conducted a thorough analysis of the responses. Using the Kano methodology, we identified features to prioritize. Customer interviews provided qualitative support to understand why certain features were prioritized. 🗣️ 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 : We conducted over 30 interviews and received more than 35 survey responses from a diverse range of customers across various geographies, economic sectors, and businesses. We then developed detailed recommendations, highlighting key success factors and providing a precise roadmap to ensure that survey results are incorporated into the next-generation device. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 : Our in-depth market study equipped our client with valuable insights into evolving customer needs, guiding future product innovation efforts effectively. 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴' 𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴?     🛩️ 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 🛩️ 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 : 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Our client has developed a comprehensive avionics suite for one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, comprising cockpit visualizations, embedded calculators, and control panels. While these components have been qualified and certified by aviation safety authorities, and initial shipsets have been produced and delivered, the projected cost remains 20% higher than the program's profitability objectives. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 : 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 In response to this challenge, a multidisciplinary project team (Program – Studies – Purchasing – Industrialization) was established. IAC was entrusted by the Operations Direction to structure and lead the cost-saving initiative until effective validation by the steering committee. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 : 🎯 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 : We analyzed costly allocations set for potential growth, examined the gaps between initial performance specifications and the final design, and reduced manufacturing costs by 17%. 🛠️𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 : We proposed an additional 16% reduction by suggesting changes to the mechanical aspects to make manufacturing cheaper, as well as electronic redesigns, freeing us from reuse limitations. 💼 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 : We challenged domain-specific buyers on their supplier productivity plans and implemented workaround strategies for two monopolistic situations. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 : Our collaborative efforts resulted in significant identified cost savings, amounting to 33%, paving the way for improved profitability and program success.     🌟 𝗜𝗔𝗖 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 : 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸?🌟 Our 3rd edition of the Diversity Talk was a success, diving into "Equality vs. Equity in the Workplace". 🎉 💬 Engaging 10 employees, we explored innovative solutions across holiday policy, recruitment, bonuses, and time flexibility. ⚖️ Our employees found that equity-based solutions were better, leading to more diversity, higher employee satisfaction, and better long-term performance. These solutions align with our goal of creating an inclusive workplace. 🤲🏼 While equality solutions did yield short-term performance gains, there's an opportunity for us to go beyond and prioritize equitable practices for sustained growth and inclusivity. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵  Within a complex, multi-continental, and multicultural organization, IAC is tasked with defining and structuring an innovative approach to generate breakthroughs and foundational optimizations for our client's future offerings. We defined optimization axes and ensured future commitment through team engagement sessions. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: 💡 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Facilitated workshops involving technical and passenger experience teams, resulting in 750 generated ideas. 🧩 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Classified ideas into "must-have," "performance," and "killer-apps" through surveys.     🎯 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲-𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 🎯 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁  Our client aimed to develop a new radar product at Target Cost, starting from scratch. An ambitious economic gap of -50% was targeted compared to the cost of the previous generation. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀  IAC was entrusted to lead and facilitate a 6-month Target Cost Design (TCD) process within the project team during the pre-study phase. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻:  🎯 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We initiated TCD methodology, guiding functional modeling, decision trees, value analysis, and cost target allocation.
