I'm not a politician. I'm not an expert on anything.
But what I can say, that as a white man, I am a guest in the hip hop genre.
Growing up, battling anxiety, depression, OCD, tourettes, listening to hip hop is where I turned to. its what I listened to to cope, its what I listened to to hype me up for sports.
Then when I needed an outlet to speak my mind & get what I was feeling out, hip hop was there & that microphone listens to me & understands me like nothing else ever has.
I have been influenced by black culture. We continually take from black culture, but we never give anything back. Why?!
Seeing the blatant abuse by police on any race is sickening, but black people face more. It needs to stop.
I am well aware, as a white man I have privilege. & that I have it easier simply for being white. I get more opportunities because I am white. education systems are notoriously better in white neighborhoods.
Yes everyone's life matters. but thats not what Black Lives Matter is about. and saying all lives matter literally negates what that whole movement says.
I wrote & released this back in 2018. The words have never rung more true.
we all have voices. use them!! don't be silent!
Be a voice for the people who's voices they won't listen to!
You are super welcome.
