One of the main phases in designing an online platform is to understand the target of the product or platform. Why does it exist? How to deliver it simply? In this case study I'm gonna talk about the challenge I faced while redesigning "The Room" website. 👇 "The Room" is a website which is owned by the creators of the film. This website serves as the official online hub for all things related to the movie and its cult following. The main objective is to foster a sense of community among fans of the film. By providing forums, discussion boards, and social media integration, the website creates a space where fans can connect, share their enthusiasm for the movie, and engage in discussions about their favorite moments, characters, and quotes. 💥 However, during the initial stages of the redesign process, it became apparent that the existing website was not effectively fulfilling this primary goal. While it offered basic features for interaction, such as forums and social media links, the user experience felt disjointed and lacked the seamless engagement that is essential for building a thriving community. As I delved deeper into the project, I realized that the key to success lay in simplifying the user experience while amplifying opportunities for meaningful interaction. This meant streamlining navigation, enhancing visual appeal, and integrating user-friendly features that would encourage active participation from fans.
