Fabio Coentrao kicks off his third season at Real

Fabio Coentrao kicked-off - in Elche - another season at Real Madrid, making his league debut after recovering from a muscle injury which had sidelined him for three weeks.

The Portuguese was on his way out of Real Madrid this summer, because he had asked to leave at the end of last season. However, he did not move during the summer transfer market which closed on 2nd September and Carlo Ancelotti opened the door to him again. He fell injured during the Brazil-Portugal game and made his return for Real Madrid at Elche's Martínez Valero stadium.
