Mexico head coach Jimmy Lozano has been the talk of the town since replacing Diego Cocca, who was fired after a disastrous CONCACAF Nations League tournament.

Lozano, 44, will undoubtedly be coaching for his job. If Mexico is eliminated at such an early stage in the Gold Cup, it's unlikely that the interim head coach will continue.

Costa Rica suffered two significant losses due to injured players during a hard-fought victory over Martinique in their third group stage match, but Mexico can not become complacent.

Any CONCACAF opponent facing Mexico always gives them their best shot and an upset is not unimaginable, especially considering the way "El Tri" has played over the past few years.

It's make or break time for the "Lambor-Jimmy," who will likely once again go to Henry Martin as his starting striker over Santiago Gimenez.

Costa Rica head coach Luis Fernando Suarez has only faced Mexico since taking over Costa Rica in January 2021 and it was a 0-0 draw in the World Cup qualifiers.

He will undoubtedly look to derail the "Lambor-Jimmy" and get his first win over the CONCACAF giants.
