In recent years, Disney's most successful classics have undergone a reworking process in order to be re-released for modern times.
Disney has always been one of the most famous companies in the world for its classic movies dedicated to children, however there are some scenes that, under the magnifying glass of our time, may cause some controversy.
'Bambi' is one of Disney's most famous films, but at the same time one of the most hard-hitting in terms of the plot.
It's so much so that one of the most significant scenes in the films could be eliminated, if one scriptwriter has her way.
The scene that Lindsey Anderson Beer wants removed from 'Bambi'
The scene is the death of Bambi's mother and Lindsey Anderson Beer is the name of the screenwriter and film director who eventually took on the task of writing a live-action remake of 'Bambi'.
For her, there is one scene that should be removed, as today's parents are more "sensitive". The scene in particular is the one in which Bambi's mother dies.
Anderson Beer, in an interview with Collider, explained her choice.
"Bambi is such a gorgeous film, but it's a little bit different tempo than I think modern audiences are used to," she told Collider.
"Not to spoil the plot, but there's a treatment of the mom dying that I think some kids and some parents these days are more sensitive about than they were in the past, and I think that's one of the reasons that they haven't shown it to their children.
"I do think there is a way to update 'Bambi' and our take on it did give a little bit more of a scope to it.
"I just think that to be able to bring it to life for kids these days in a way that maybe they relate to a little bit more would be of service to the original."
