As one of the biggest names in Hollywood, with an equally prestigious and lengthy career too, Brad Pitt has participated in a long list of projects.

Thus, it isn't surprising that he has bad memories of some of them, and he had particularly strong words for 'The Devil's Own'.

He has commented publicly on some of the works in which he has participated, highlighting the thriller that he starred in alongside Harrison Ford, which was a learning experience.

It wasn't in a positive context, however, as he considers the project to be disastrous. The movie in question is a 1997 film that was directed by Alan J. Pakula, which ended up being a fiasco both at the box office and in the eyes of the critics.

The film told the story of a New York City cop who discovers that his house guest is actually a member of the Irish Republican Army, a separatist movement that calls for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland to break away from the United Kingdom to form one whole Ireland.

Pitt played the IRA member, named Frankie McGuire, with Ford assuming the role of the policeman named Sergeant Tom O'Meara.

It currently holds a 37% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes and a 53/100 score on Metacritic and whilst Pitt did like the film, and so did Ford too, Pitt lamented that the script should've been tossed out for it to realize its potential.

"We didn't have a script," Pitt said to media at the time. "Well, we had a great script, but it was scrapped for various reasons.

"To have to make something up as we went along.... Jesus, what pressure! It was ridiculous. It was the most irresponsible filmmaking, if you can call it that, that I've ever seen.

"I tried a week before we started shooting and we had 20 pages of s**t. And that script that I loved was gone."

Brad Pitt's next project

Pitt's currently set to reunite with the iconic George Clooney as they work on a movie called 'Wolfs' together, which is set to release on September 20, 2024.

It is an Apple Originals Film but at the moment little is known about the plot save for it follows two fixers assigned to a job, which, given their status and salary demands, will likely be Pitt and Clooney.

The film is produced by Jon Watts (Spider-Man Homecoming, Far From Home, No Way Home) and the pair will serve as producers alongside him with many others. The project will also include Amy Ryan (The Office US) and Austin Abrams (Euphoria).
