Colombian superstar Shakira recently announced her upcoming album, 'Las Mujeres ya no Lloran', and she's making quite a statement on the cover by shedding diamonds instead of tears. The album, set to be released on March 22, is Shakira's first full-length studio release in seven years, and it's said to reflect the significant changes she's experienced during this time.

In a statement, Shakira expressed: "Making this body of work has been an alchemical process. While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength." This insight gives us a glimpse into the emotional journey that has shaped the creation of the album.

'Las Mujeres ya no Lloran' will include 16 songs, some of which have already been released as singles. These include "BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53" with Bizarrap, "TQG" with Karol G, "Te Felicito" with Rauw Alejandro, and "Copa Vacía" with Manuel Turizo. With such a diverse range of collaborations, the album promises to showcase Shakira's versatility as an artist.

It's evident that Shakira has been on a winning streak, with various accolades and achievements in recent times. Her single "BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53" not only won Song of the Year and Best Pop Song at the Latin Grammy Awards in 2023 but also shattered numerous world records.

The track, which delves into personal themes related to her ex-husband Gerard Piqué, garnered a staggering 80.6 million streams on Spotify within its first week of release and has since accumulated over 885 million streams.

Her last album was 'El Dorado' in 2017

In addition to her musical accomplishments, Shakira was honored with the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2023. During her performance at the event, she delivered a powerful message in Spanish, expressing gratitude to her Latin American supporters and emphasizing the inspiration they've provided her with.

This upcoming album follows Shakira's previous release, 'El Dorado', which came out in 2017 and featured collaborations with esteemed artists such as Maluma, Nicky Jam, Prince Royce, and Carlos Vives. With 'Las Mujeres ya no Lloran' on the horizon, it's clear that Shakira continues to evolve as an artist while staying true to her roots.
