One-time WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin would like to see Dave Bautista come out of his four-year retirement to return to the ring.

In an interview for Insight, Corbin recalled that the SAG-AFTRA strike, which has stopped the Hollywood industry, has allowed brief cameos by WWE figures such as John Cena or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

"And now you have Batista kind of whispering: 'Hey, man, I have nothing to do right now.' You know, and part of me is like, 'Hey, guys, come on.' We're all trying to work here,"Corbin explained during the talk with Chris Van Vliet.

He recalled that the actors' strike in Hollywood has wrestlers-turned-movie stars doing nothing, and "then they are: Hey, come on. Let's go back to this thing that is so amazing."

Although Corbin sees them as spoiled brats coming home, he also admits that "it's amazing for the business."

Bobby Lashley also hopes for Batista's return

Another former WWE champion, Bobby Lashley, also said that he would love to see the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star take a tour of his old stomping grounds.

First of all, Lashley assured that "I love where Dave is, and I never try to drum up any controversy or any kind of friction."

However, he emphasized that "Dave is definitely somebody I would love to have a match with. It would be something that would do some huge box office numbers."

Batista has been out of action for four years

It was in 2019 when Batista stepped on the WWE ring for the last time. It was at Wrestlemania 35 where the now-actor put his career on the line to settle an old debt with his former partner in Evolution, Triple H.

The fight was in the No Holds Barred mode, and after an exchange of keys and punishments, Ric Flair came to the aid of Triple H. In the end, a blow from Triple H's distinctive sledgehammer and a "Pedigree" put the "The Animal's" career to an end.
