Fortnite is no stranger to adding gaming icons and Lara Croft is no different, making her debut in the game back in 2021 – but can you still unlock this skin?

While it's not as much of a big deal today as it used to be, Tomb Raider is one of the most iconic gaming franchises of all time. so it would only make sense for Fortnite to add the series to its ever-growing list of gaming icons included in the game (including Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Halo, and Doom). Well, Fortnite is way ahead of you as Tomb Raider's legendary protagonist Lara Croft was brought to Fortnite over two years ago back in March 2021 with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, dubbed Primal.

Lara Croft was a part of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass back when that launched, arriving as one of the earlier rewards for the pass. She had four different styles; her default look was inspired by the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot series (and subsequent movie starring Alicia Vikander); a golden version of this skin was unlocked by picking up a specific item with the skin equipped; a look based on her pre-reboot light blue jumper appearance (as seen in Tomb Raider Anniversary) was unlocked a few levels later in the battle pass; and finally, a throwback top her classic polygonal look (think Lucozade ads) was a reward for completing some of the Epic Quests in the battle pass.

Lara Croft also had a few more cosmetic items in the Battle Pass based on the Tomb Raider reboot series, with the Survivors Pack Back Bling, the Salvaged Chute glider, and the Pry Axe Pickaxe. As well as an Emote called Evasive Maneuvers which was based on her signature acrobatic dodges in the classic series.

Can you get the Lara Croft Fortnite skin?

Unfortunately, since Lara Croft was a part of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass the only way to unlock her was to have played the game during that season, and unlock her in that battle pass. Considering Chapter 2 Season 6 ended in June 2021, it's a bit late now. Epic Games have never brought any skins from previous battle passes to the item shop, and are very unlikely to in the future.

However, there's maybe some hope yet, while you may not be able to get the classic Tomb Raider skins in the item shop, there's always a chance of a new Lara Croft skin hitting the game when the upcoming Tomb Raider series in the works from Phoebe Waller-Bridge launches.

Much like when a Tom Holland-themed Spider-Man skin appeared in-game despite a Spider-Man skin already being in a prior battle pass. Or maybe Epic Games will do a season which brings back classic battle pass skins, although we wouldn't get out hopes up.
