Continuing the magic set up from the first Home Alone movie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is almost as cherished as its predecessor.
It's been almost 30 years since Kevin McCallister got lost in the big city, where he encountered the Wet Bandits once again, comical hotel staff, a pigeon lady, and a future president.
Newsweek researched where the cast of the original Home Alone are now, with the McCallister family now containing Award winners and Olympians, but keep reading to find out where the cast of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are now.
Mr. Hector — Tim Curry
British actor Tim Curry came to the Home Alone franchise with an impressive resume of roles which included Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rooster Hannigan in Annie and Pennywise the Dancing Clown in It. He'd also already released three rock albums in the '70s and '80s.
After keeping an eye on Kevin McCallister in Home Alone 2, he went on to star in the likes of Muppet Treasure Island, The Wild Thornberrys and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He's also a successful stage actor and has been nominated for multiple Tony Awards for his roles in Amadeus, My Favorite Year and Spamalot.
Curry suffered a major stroke in July 2012 and has since used a wheelchair. As a result his roles have been limited to voice acting but he often attends industry events.
Pigeon Lady — Brenda Fricker
While the Pigeon Lady is a memorable role, Irish actress Brenda Fricker's biggest success came a couple of years earlier when she won an Academy Award for starring alongside Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot.
Now 76-years-old, Fricker has continued to act on the stage and screen, and recently appeared in an episode of the Canadian TV drama Cam Boy, and in the Irish drama Holding. In 1996, she was also featured on a postage stamp in Ireland as Mrs Brown in My Left Foot.
Mr. Duncan — Eddie Bracken
The kind owner of Duncan's Toy Chest was played by American comedy legend Eddie Bracken. He had starred on the stage since the 1930s and in movies since the '40s.
After appearing in Home Alone 2, he appeared in Rookie of the Year and Baby's Day Out. Towards the end of his life he also continued to act on the stage, appearing in Follies, The Student Prince and Carousel. He died at the age of 87 in 2002.
He has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hester Stone (Desk Clerk) — Dana Ivey
Dana Ivey was another established actress before she appeared in the Home Alone sequel as the desk clerk of the Plaza Hotel.
The 80-year-old actress has since appeared in a number of big budget movies like The Help, Ocean's Eight, Sleepless in Seattle and Two Weeks Notice. Prior to appearing in Home Alone 2 she has starred in The Color Purple, The Addams Family and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Cedric (Bellman) — Rob Schneider
Schneider was arguably a rising star when he played the role of Cedric the Bellman in 1992. He was a popular Saturday Night Live cast member and was making one of his first movie roles in Home Alone 2.
He's since forged a successful career as a comedian and actor, appearing in many Adam Sandler movies, as well as his own comedies like Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Animal and The Hot Chick.
On Season 6 of The Masked Singer, Schneider was unmasked as the Hamster.
Donald Trump
Donald Trump's on screen career actually skyrocketed after his cameo in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York — which director Christopher Columbus claims Trump demanded in return for letting them film in his Plaza Hotel.
Trump went on to make several appearances on WWE before fronting The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice for eleven years. He also hosted Saturday Night Live twice in 2004 and 2015. From 2017 to 2021 he served one term as the 45th President of the United States.
Home Alone 2: Lost In New York and all of the other Home Alone movies are available to watch on Disney+ now.
Home Alone 2: Lost In New York will also appear on network television twice on Sunday December 12, on FX. Once at 8pm and again at 1am. The movie will also air regularly on ABC channel Freeform between now and Christmas Day.
