Gael García Bernal and wife Dolores Fonzi have reportedly split.

The couple, who wed nearly five years ago, are said to be going their separate ways, E! News reports.

The 35-year-old actor was heard talking about the breakup while attending the Telluride Film Festival over the weekend, and stated that he’s currently dividing his time between Mexico and Argentina, where Fonzi resides with their two children, a source told E!

The parents of son Lazaro, 5, and 3-year-old daughter Libertad, met in 2001 on the set of the film “Vidas Privadas.”

However, the Argentine-born actress and Bernal didn’t start dating until years later in 2008.

The “Motorcycle Diaries” star and Fonzi have remained friends despite the decision to end their longtime relationship, his mother, Patricia Bernal, told People en Español.

“Sometimes things work or do not work,” she told the mag. “(Gael) is fine, the kids are well, Dolores is perfectly fine.”

Bernal attended Telluride to promote Jon Stewart’s directorial debut, “Rosewater,” which he stars in as the London-based journalist, Maziar Bahari, who was accused of being a spy and served a harsh sentence of 100 days in a prison in Iran.

The actor appeared sans his wedding ring in a photo with Stewart and pal Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu at the festival on Saturday.

A rep for Bernal has yet to respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
