Biography: Kaká is a Brazilian professional footballer widely regarded as one of the finest attacking midfielders of his generation. Starting his career with São Paulo FC in Brazil, he quickly made a name for himself. His nickname Kaká comes from his brother Digão, also a professional football player, who could not pronounce Ricardo when he was a child.

His skill caught the attention of European clubs, leading him to sign with A.C. Milan in 2003. It was here that Kaká came into his own, helping Milan win the UEFA Champions League in 2007 and being awarded the FIFA World Player of the Year in the same year.

As a result of these performances he moved to Real Madrid in 2009, where he played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso. While at Real Madrid, Kaká was plagued by injuries but was nevertheless a part of the team that won the 2010-11 Copa del Rey and the 2011-12 La Liga title.

Internationally, Kaká has played for the Brazilian national team since 2002. He was a part of Brazil's 2002 World Cup-winning squad and played pivotal roles in the 2005 and 2009 Confederations Cup victories, including winning the Golden Ball in 2009.

After leaving Real Madrid, Kaká played for Orlando City in Major League Soccer, as well as briefly returning on loan to São Paulo and later to Milan. He ultimately retired in 2017.
