Biography: Karolína Kurková is a Czech model and actress best known for her work as a former Victoria's Secret Angel and Vogue cover model.

Kurková was born in Děčín, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic) to a Czech father and Slovak mother. She was discovered by a friend who sent photos to a Prague agency. At age 15, Kurková landed her first runway show and commercial work, then moved to Milan to sign with Miuccia Prada, which launched her international modeling career.

Kurková's breakthrough came when she appeared in American Vogue at age 15 in 1999. Two years later, she covered the February 2001 issue at age 17. She quickly became an in-demand runway model for top fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Victoria's Secret. Vogue editor Anna Wintour called her the "next supermodel."

Her career highlights include wearing the $6.5 million Victoria's Secret "Fantasy Bra" in 2006, receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007, and being named one of the world's sexiest women by E! in 2008. Kurková has appeared on over 51 international Vogue covers and worked with top photographers like Steven Meisel and Mario Testino.

In addition to modeling, Kurková has acted in films like "G.I. Joe" (2009) and appeared as herself on shows like "30 Rock" (2007) and "Person of Interest" (2012). She has also launched a children's product line.

Kurková struggled with thyroid issues that caused weight gain and health problems in the late 2000s, which she has been open about overcoming. She married Archie Drury in 2009 and they have three children together.
