A high-performance version of the Mercedes-Benz R230 SL-Class Roadster, the SL55 AMG features a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine producing over 500 HP. This 2007 example comes finished in Iridium Silver Metallic over Black leather and was fitted with a rare Lorinser GS03 widebody kit in 2007 by CEC Automotive of Los Angeles along with a Lorinser exhaust system and 20” Lorinser wheels. The car is said to have been with its original owner until June 2021 and has remained in the state of California since new. One of 10 examples fitted with the GS03 kit in the United States among only 50 cars worldwide, this SL55 AMG is now being offered for auction with just over 17k miles on the odometer.

The professionally installed GS03 bodykit includes widened fenders with sweeping front and rear air vents that blend seamlessly with the custom rocker panels and doors. It also features a sculpted SLR-style hood, an extended trunk lid spoiler, mesh grille inserts, and custom bumpers with a dual central exhaust outlet, The car is said to have been refinished in Iridium Silver Metallic during the widebody install in 2007 and rides on a set of 20” Lorinser LM6 two-piece wheels. The Continental rear tires show production date codes from 2021 while the front Lionhart tires are dated 2023. The seller notes that two additional Continental tires are included and some minor paint imperfections can be seen upon close inspection. The black leather interior is appointed with heated and ventilated multicontour AMG seats, wood trim pieces, and a multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel with shift paddles. Other accessories include a power retractable hardtop, AMG-branded instrumentation, a cabin wind deflector, a Bose sound system, and a touchscreen COMAND infotainment display with navigation.

The car is equipped with a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 Kompressor engine rated at 510 HP and 531 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed 5G Tronic automatic transmission. An upgraded Lorinser exhaust system is installed, and standard features include Active Body Control (ABC) suspension with semi-active roll stabilization. The CARFAX report shows a history of maintenance including a brake service in 2018, a four-wheel alignment in April 2022, and new hood shocks in May 2022. The seller adds that the battery was replaced in April 2023 and an oil change was completed during their ownership. A crack is noted on the windshield washer reservoir near the filler cap and a brake fluid test showed moisture on the high side of mid-range.
