    Samy Schiavo (born December 24, 1975 in Avignon) is a retired French mixed martial artist and taekwondo fighter. Schiavo has previously fought in Cage Rage and the UFC. Schiavo signed with the UFC early in 2008 and made his debut at UFN 13 losing to Clay Guida by TKO late in round 1. Schiavo fought for the second time in the octagon at UFC 89 in Birmingham, England against Per Eklund. Despite winning the first two rounds thanks to his stand up, Schiavo lost the fight by submission after he tapped out to a rear-naked choke in round 3. Following the loss he was released by the UFC. Schiavo seeks a return to competition in February 2013 at Cage Contender XVI in Dublin, Ireland where he is expected to make his bantamweight debut against Northern Ireland's Steve McCombe. The fight was cancelled after Schiavo suffered inner ear disease. Shortly after he announced his definitive retirement from competition and his desire to focus on his academy and his students. In October 2013, Schiavo received his Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt from the hands of UFC fighter and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Renee Forte.

After his family moved to Taiwan, he began studying t'ai chi ch'uan under the tutelage of Prof. Cheng Man-ch'ing who was a childhood friend of William C. C. Chen's father. His skill, aptitude and language skills helped him become one of Prof. Cheng Man-ch'ing's favorite disciples. Not only was he an extraordinary student but he also helped as his teachers' translator. Through this he acquired a lot of knowledge from his teacher and insight from fellow students.

    Pan Qingfu (潘清福), also known as Grandmaster Pan, was a Chinese martial artist.Grandmaster Pan's awards include a Hall of Fame award from the United International Kung Fu Federation, a Hall of Fame Award from the World Christian Martial Arts Federation, the International Legend Hall of Fame award from the USA Wushu Kung Fu Federation and a Hall of Fame Award from Black Belt magazine. He was the Honorary President of the United Wushu Federation of Canada. In 2002, he was honored with a special ceremony where he became the only person ever conferred with a Level 10 degree, from the Confederation of Canadian Wushu Organizations, an organization that only has 9 levels. Grandmaster Pan won the Chinese national Kung-Fu championships multiple times, and served as a coach at the Shenyang Physical Education Institute. In the mid-1960s, Pan was recruited by the Chinese government to capture Triad leaders, eventually capturing 23, and earning the name "Gangbuster". He also worked as an instructor for the Beijing Police and the Chinese Special Forces.He appeared in several films, including Shaolin Temple (1982, Jet Li's first starring film), and a role as himself in Iron & Silk (1990) and Talons of the Eagle (1992). Grand Master Pan died on 29 June 2017 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
