Hi there, I'm Nicole!

I am a Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment of PTSD, substance use/addiction issues, and anxiety. I also work with clients experiencing insomnia, depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, chronic pain, and life issues such as personal growth and relationship problems. I take a trauma-informed approach to treatment and believe in treating the whole person rather than simply focusing on symptom management. My commitment to a strength-based approach to treatment guides my work. I am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). I am especially interested in the intersection of trauma, addiction, and chronic pain. I have undergone training in order to deliver evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including EMDR. I take an integrative approach to treatment with an emphasis on utilizing mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I believe that there is no single approach that will work for everyone, so it is important to take time to find out what each client’s needs are and meet each person where they are at. I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego in 2018. I am driven by my interest in helping others. I have worked in various clinical settings, including an integrative health center, a psychiatric hospital, a dual diagnosis clinic at a methadone treatment center, and private practice. I have considerable experience treating trauma, addictive disorders, anxiety, and chronic pain. I hold the therapeutic relationship in the highest regard. I take great care to ensure that every individual feels heard and cared for within the therapeutic relationship. I strive to understand each individual’s point of view and create a therapy experience that feels safe and genuine.
