We are happy to announce that André Nascimento has joined the team as Project Manager! André will support our management with organization and communication regarding important, company-wide complex projects. He will communicate company strategy to both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, André will analyse and report data on the company.
André got his Biotechnology BSc at the University of Brasilia, Brazil, and an MSc in Business Administration in Change Management at TIAS Business School, Utrecht. During his Bachelor’s internship, he was involved in improving transgenic tomato crops and later in antibody development by phage display for tropical diseases, such as ZIKV and Cryptococcus neoformans. Shortly after graduation, he tried to run an indoor farming start-up with graduate colleagues, which drove him to search for business knowledge.
During his Master’s, André specialized in framework adaptations for customer development and commercialization in Biotech ventures. Later, joining Friesland Campina as Project Commercialization Intern for the Consumer Diary Africa team, supporting the supply chain, marketing, and managing the product portfolio site.
After finishing his MSc, André joined the Genome Sequencing space as Sales Account Manager for Macrogen Europe in Amsterdam. As part of the Sanger sales team, he was responsible for partnerships and C-level relationships. He dealt with key industry players by engaging with current and new leads for the client portfolio.
In his spare time, André likes to explore food and coffee places. Also, he trains and coaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at a gym in Utrecht.
