ISAY WEINFEILD

“I run from belonging to any school or any style. I hate to be labelled. I prefer not to have a style. I am more free.”

Brazilian designer Isay Weinfeld is one of the most sought-after architects of our contemporary era. Throughout his 50-year career, Weinfeld has become known for his ability to blend modern elegance and comfort with tropical vibrancy. His portfolio has also garnered international accolades and recognition for its wide-ranging projects, which includes private residences, hotels, restaurants, bars, galleries, museums, banks, retail spaces and more.

Since its establishment in 1973, the Isay Weinfeld Studio has been driven by a strong philosophical approach: that all projects are to be treated equally. Each assignment — be it a small-scale or large-scale project — goes through the same working process and is given the same thought and care.

For Weinfeld, clients play an important role in his work. “I would never design a house that I want to design, in the way that I want to design,” he told Dezeen magazine. “I always try to design a house [my clients] want but through my eyes. This is a very subtle difference that is very important to me.”

Stay tuned for our upcoming collaboration with Isay Weinfeld.
