Gisele Bündchen is leaning into her post-divorce era after splitting with Tom Brady after 13 years of marriage in 2022. The 43-year-old supermodel has made sure to stay near her ex, with whom she co-parents son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10, and that’s why she calls Miami home.
The $9.1 million ranch that she bought last fall has become a place to plant roots while navigating her fresh start with boyfriend Joaquim Valente. Now, Bündchen is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her new oasis in a video interview with Vogue. She kicked off the clip by revealing that she decided to make the Florida neighborhood her home about a year and a half ago, which coincides directly with her divorce from Brady. She called the 7.5-acre property her “little home” that she adores because it reminds her of the warmth of her native country, Brazil.
Her affinity for nature and her animals at her home is evident right away as she caresses her dog, Alfie, and calls her daughter’s horse, Adam, a “teddy bear.” She explained, “We do a lot of things outdoors. The most important thing for me is to just create a comfortable space where the kids can roam around, and the animals can roam around, and we can feel this connection to nature and animals. I love that because it just makes me happy.”
The outside isn’t the only impressive part of the property, Bündchen gave her fans a glimpse at the 5,200-square-foot house as she sat at the dining-area table and recalled her first American Vogue cover in 1999. “I was 18 when I shot it. We were at the park in New York. It was Steven Meisel,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing.’ The biggest thing you could do as a model, you know, to be on an American Vogue cover. So this was the beginning of everything, and it was the time of the heroin chic, so it was a very important moment because this was the cover and it was ‘The Return of the Sexy Model,’ which was, I never considered myself sexy, but I was very happy that they chose me to represent this moment.”
It’s sweet to see how her past and her future are all reflected in the Miami home she chose to purchase. Her life as an athlete’s wife and a model trying to crack into the fashion industry is in the past as she focuses on the things that make her happy: family, nature, animals, and a career where she can call the shots. Her home mirrors those joyful vibes and allows her to blossom in this next chapter of life.
