Bayern Munich, Pepe Reina agree to contract
Bayern Munich and Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina have agreed to a contract, pending a phyiscal, the team announced Tuesday.
Bayern and Liverpool, Reina's current club, have agreed to a £2.5 million transfer fee, according to The Guardian.
Reina signed with Liverpool in 2005, but spent last season on loan with Napoli of Serie A after losing the starting keeper job with Liverpool.
The 31-year-old Reina has 33 appearances for the Spanish national team. He started Spain's final game at the 2014 World Cup, recording a shutout against Australia.
Bayern Munich is nearing the end of their North American tour. They play the MLS All-Stars on Thursday in Portland, Oregon.
