Vanessa Da Mata is a Brazillian samba pop and R&B singer who has had immeasurable amounts of success over the years with a Latin Grammy Award under her belt and has ventured off into other areas of art such as writing novels.
The atmosphere in this stadium tonight is definitely that of a carnival vibe, with not on single person in this audience sitting in their seat. There are even some people who are standing on their seats with their hands in the air singing along as loud as they can.
It is amazing when Da Mata, complete with her band plays the song “Boa Sorte/Good Luck” which she invites Ben Harper out on stage for. It is no wonder that this song made it to number one in Brazil and Portugal with the reaction that it receives this evening. “Amado” and “As Palavras” are just as big this evening, there are even audience members crying in astonishment at her talent!
