HyunA Explains Why She Signed With P NATION Despite Offers From Other Agencies

On the November 11 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon,” HyunA appeared as a guest.

Earlier this year, HyunA signed an exclusive contract with P NATION, an agency founded by PSY. When asked if there were other agencies that tried to recruit her, HyunA answered, “To be honest, there were many. I’m still very thankful for those who gave me offers. They contacted me saying that they will root for me until the end.”

HyunA went on to explain why she chose to sign with P NATION. The solo artist said, “I had a feeling that they would understand me the best. PSY’s first performance of ‘Bird’ that I saw when I was young still remains in my memory.”

She continued, “I started dancing because I was timid. When I saw [PSY’s] performance [of ‘Bird’], I wanted to exude similar energy on stage. We met again for ‘Gangnam Style,’ and he told me that he wanted to continue to work with me afterwards. It turned out that he was being serious.”

HyunA made her long-awaited comeback with “Flower Shower” on November 5.
