USA vs. Costa Rica, Copa America 2016: Confirmed lineups and match thread

The USMNT take on their CONCACAF rivals in a do or die Copa America group stage match.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The United States men's national team are 90 minutes of soccer away from crashing out of the Copa America Centenario after just only two matches. That's a realistic possibility if they don't pick up at least a point against Costa Rica tonight. It would be yet another disaster in add to the Gold Cup debacle of 2015. Needless to say, tonight's second Group A match will be a huge occasion for the USA.

With a win, Klinsmann's side would be in great position to advance to the quarterfinals. A draw wouldn't kill their chances but it put a major damper on them. A loss would mathematically eliminate the USMNT from their own tournament after just two matches.

Jurgen Klinsmann has made no changes from the side that lost 2-0 to Colombia. It's a bold gamble to stay pat, but some consistency in the lineup is something the U.S. have been needing.

Tonight's match will air on Fox Sports 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET. JP Dellacamera and Stuart Holden will be on the call.

United States Lineup: (4-3-3) Brad Guzan; DeAndre Yedlin, Geoff Cameron, John Brooks, Fabian Johnson; Jermaine Jones, Michael Bradley, Alejandro Bedoya; Gyasi Zardes, Clint Dempsey, Bobby Wood

Costa Rica: (5-4-1) Patrick Pemberton; Johnny Acosta, Francisco Calvo, Oscar Duarte, Ronald Matarrita, Christian Gamboa; Celso Borges, Bryan Ruiz, Joel Campbell, Christian Bolanos; Marcos Urena
