As soon as the refreshed poster dropped Thursday night, the names included for this year’s Reading and Leeds festival were noticeably BIG and it seems as if the sister festival is right back to where it was before, delivering class acts for a variety of music lovers. The headliners are all solid bookings (and UK Festival exclusives), including the major nostalgia trip from previously-announced pop-punk titans Blink 182 along with in demand house/electronica producer Fred again.. and topping it off with Brit-pop veteran and ex-Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

Also headlining on the other stages will be American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, iconic indie band Catfish and The Bottlemen (who are returning after a two year hiatus and sans two members, Bob Hall and Johnny Bond) along with Scottish guitarist, singer/songwriter Gerry Cinnamon. But it isn’t just the headliners that we’re excited about, there are some big names throughout the festival that will be bringing many people to both Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park come August.

Dance music will take a front seat at both festivals this year with big names such as Barry Can’t Swim, iconic house DJ Sonny Fodera, producer KiLLOWEN as well as house music producer Dom Dolla to name but a few. There will also be some Gen-Z acts and rising stars in the fields such as American singer-songwriter Reneé Rapp who has seen recent success in theatre and film, including the musical of Mean Girls, bedroom-pop star beabadoobee, along with viral Tik-Tok sensation Kenya Grace.

With the festivals heritage cemented firmly in Rock ‘n’ Roll, there is no shortage of bands either this year. Irish post-punk heavyweights Fontaines D.C, 80s influenced American indie-pop band Bleachers (with frontman Jack Antonoff having worked with mega stars Taylor Swift and Lorde), Liverpool’s Courting and America-conquering Crawlers among many others. Winners of the BBC ‘Sound of’ Poll 2024 The Last Dinner Party are also on the bill alongside electronic dance pioneers The Prodigy who will be warming things up nicely in Reading on Friday and Leeds on Saturday.

Another super exciting name on the line up is jungle and drum-and-bass infused producer and singer songwriter Nia Archives. Jorja Smith will be gracing us with her soulful tones whilst indie electro-pop band Confidence Man will be getting the crowd moving with their own portable party sounds.

The festival have also previously announced their special guest across the weekend will be two-time Grammy nominee and one of the most well known modern rappers today: Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA 21 Savage. This line up is one to rival other big name festivals this summer. The variety of talent that will be across both cities is undeniable and, with Saturday day tickets now sold out, the remaining days are also looking set to sell out! What are you waiting for? Grab your ticket here and we’ll see you in the sweltering Reading heat.
