Report: Nets trade Joe Harris to Pistons
The Brooklyn Nets are trading sharpshooter Joe Harris to the Detroit Pistons along with two second-round picks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.
The Nets will save $19.9 million by trading Harris before entering the final season on his four-year, $75-million contract and can use the extra funds toward a trade exception.
Harris' 43.7% career mark from beyond the arc is the best among all active players and fourth in NBA history. He's made at least 41% of his threes in his last six seasons.
The 31-year-old suited up in 74 games for Brooklyn last season, averaging just 7.6 points per contest, his lowest tally since the 2015-16 campaign.
Harris will provide much-needed floor spacing and depth for a Pistons team that ranked 22nd in made 3-pointers last season.
