Chelsea and Arsenal ‘to battle Liverpool’ for Barcelona No 2 goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, who impressed when stepping in for Marc-Andre ter Stegen
Holland international arrived as a replacement for Claudio Bravo, but has never really enjoyed regular playing time
CHELSEA and Arsenal have joined Liverpool in the hunt for Barcelona's No 2 goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to reports in Catalonia.
The Dutch international moved to the Nou Camp as a replacement for Manchester City-bound Claudio Bravo in 2016.
But he has failed to nail down a starting spot and has been mainly used in Copa del Rey matches, where he has impressed.
Liverpool are believed to be monitoring his situation, while Sport insist Chelsea and Arsenal are also interested.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds' need for a new goalkeeper is well-known, given Loris Karius' high-profile blunders in the Champions League final.
Liverpool are interested in signing Alisson from Roma, but may well face competition from Real Madrid, while the Giallorossi will work hard to keep hold of him.
