Congratulations are in order for Vanessa Hudgens. Tonight, on the red carpet of the 2024 Oscars, the actor and musician revealed she’s pregnant with her first child.
The news comes after Hudgens tied the knot with baseball player Cole Tucker at an intimate ceremony in Mexico last year, covered exclusively in Vogue. For their wedding in the heart of the Mayan jungle, near Tulum, Hudgens worked with her stylist Jason Bolden to create a custom gown and dramatic veil by Vera Wang.
“It was genuinely the most magical weekend of my life,” she told Vogue at the time. “I am so grateful that we got to have a private wedding, and it helped that I took everyone’s phones away. It was amazing because at the dinner, I would look around and everyone was talking to each other—our family and friend groups coming together and creating real relationships that I know they’re going to invest real time into. Seeing that and bringing everyone together and celebrating us, it was just so magical.”
For tonight’s ceremony—at which Hudgens will be hosting the official Oscars red carpet show alongside Julianne Hough—the star opted for a slinky black Vera Wang couture gown that accentuated her baby bump, as well as a dazzling white gold and diamond necklace and earrings by Chopard.
