Heiress Amanda Hearst celebrated her marriage to Joachim Rønning in the Hearst family estate on August 3, 2019. The wedding was extraordinary, and the bride stuck to her principles with a couture wedding dress that was ethically made. Take a look at the event in pictures.
A marriage at the family estate
The wedding of the granddaughter of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst and Norwegian director Joachim Rønning took place in the glorious Hearst Castle. Located on a hill between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the surrealist castle was inspired by exuberant palaces of the Ancient World. It has 56 bedrooms, 61 bathrooms, 19 living rooms and the garden is 51 hectares. Resembling a miniature city, the place was designed by the architect Julia Morgan between 1919 and 1945. Whether posing by the gigantic pool or saying their vows facing the Pacific ocean, the couple shared some pictures of this beautiful wedding whose guests included the Hilton sisters and Lauren Bush.

A sustainable Oscar de la Renta wedding dress
Co-founder of the ethical fashion website Maison de Mode, Amanda Hearst asked Fernando Garcia, the creative director of Oscar de la Renta to design for her a sustainable wedding dress. This custom made dress was created with ethically sourced silk, and is off the shoulders, with a long train decorated with floral designs, and an ultra-long veil. Her husband wore a suit with a cream jacket, a white shirt, trousers and a black bowtie.
