We never knew we wanted a red panda and yet here we are.
One of the most beautiful animals in the world is the Red Panda, and these gorgeous animals live live in the mountain forests of Nepal, India and central China. They aren't a raccoon or a bear, but their distinctive looks cause a lot of people to make that mistake. Red Pandas are in their own, independent family: Ailuridae.

For those of you hoping to adopt one of these gorgeous animals, you are out of luck. Red pandas are considered endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Add this to the fact that Red pandas can poop the equivalent of their body weight in one week and you're much better off with a cat or a dog.
