Jackson Arley Martínez Valencia is a footballer from Colombia, currently he plays for F.C. Porto as a striker. He was born in 1986 and began playing football in Independiente Medellín and in 2010 he left Colombian side for Mexico, where he signed for Jaguares de Chiapas. He helped his team to reach the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores in 2011 and being a key player, he attracted attention of several European clubs.
In July 2012 Jackson Martínez signed for F.C. Porto and on 11 August he marked the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira final with a goal and secured a 1-0 victory over Académica de Coimbra. He was the man of the match. In October 2012, November 2012, February 2013 he was named the SJPF Player of the Month.
When Jackson Martínez was 22 he was called up to represent the Colombia national team and on 5 September 2009 Jackson Martínez scored his first international goal in the FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Ecuador.
