VICTOR MOSES TO WEAR RED FOR LIVERPOOL

Nigeria’s Victor Moses has joined Liverpool for a season-long loan deal from Chelsea FC for the 2013/2014 season. Moses preferred never to walk alone as he united in the Liverpool dugout with Mamadou Sakho and Tiago IIori, the other new signings to watch the premier league victory against rivals Manchester United at the famous Anfield ground on Sunday September 1, 2013.

The 23-year-old was considered surplus to requirement and slipped even further down the pecking order at the Blues after the summer acquisitions of Andre Schurrle, Willian and Samuel Eto’o.

The reds, Liverpool paid Chelsea FC a loan fee, understood to be around £1m, as part of the deal for the former Crystal Palace and Wigan attacker.

West Bromwich Albion, Southampton and Everton had also shown an interest in Moses but he chose to play for a top flight team.

Moses, an attacking midfielder with tremendous dribbling skills was signed by Roberto Di Matteo for Chelsea from Wigan for a fee reported to be around £9m in August 2012.

He made 23 Premier League appearances last season, scoring one goal, but could not feature for new Manager Jose Mourinho despite his impressive pre-season outings.

The Nigerian international joined Wigan from Crystal Palace on a three-and-a-half-year deal in January 2010 for a reported fee of £2.5m.
