    Colombia vs. Ivory Coast: Goals and Highlights from Group C Match

    Colombia moved atop Group C with a thrilling 2-1 victory over a resilient Ivory Coast side. 

    The Colombians are in a commanding spot to advance into the knockout stages with six points through two matches, while Les Elephants are still in contention with three points. 

    Colombia will finish against Japan, while the Ivory Coast will face Greece. 

    James Rodriguez put Colombia ahead in the 64th minute with a header off of a corner kick.

    Juan Quintero doubled the lead shortly thereafter in the 70th minute, with a clean finish to put the Colombians in a commanding position.

    Just as Colombia appeared bound for three points, Gervinho put the Ivory Coast right back in the thick of things with a fantastic solo effort in the 74th minute, to bring Les Elephants back within a goal at 2-1.

    Quintero nearly put the match away for good with an ambitious, and nearly incredible, strike; catching Ivory Coast goalkeeper Boubacar Barry off his line.

    Neither team scored in the first half, but there were still plenty of highlights.
