Tottenham Lining Up Deal For Brazilian Youth International Defender

We have no pictures of Bruno Uvini, so I am using a picture of Thiago Silva because I hope that Bruno Uvini is a lot like Thiago Silva and Thiago Silva is a Brazilian defender.

The fine folks over at South American Football, a fantastic UK-run site about football in South America, passed along reports today that Brazilian youth international central defender Bruno Uvini is joining up with Tottenham Hotspur for a trial. Some reports are suggesting that a deal has already been agreed between Tottenham, Sao Paulo and the player and that the deal will be completed when the transfer window opens.

Bruno Uvini is a highly rated youngster, but I have to admit that I haven't seen much of him, and when I did watch his teams play, I was not paying attention to him specifically. He's been capped 13 times for the Brazil U-20s and he was the captain of that team in the Under-20 World Cup. He's made eight appearances for Sao Paulo and he has the size to compete at the Premier League level.

Hopefully, in the coming days, the club will put out a release themselves and we'll learn a little more, both about Uvini and the terms of the trial.
