Maigari-KeshiStephen Keshi has warned the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to be realistic with the semi-final target they have set for the Super Eagles, at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The coach said the tournament will be a tough one, as every qualified country will be looking to prove a point.

“We have to be realistic because there are no small teams among the 32 going to Brazil, all of the teams will be tough,” he told Brila FM.

“We have no preference for any of the countries to be in our group. All we need do is to prepare well for every team and take the games one after the other.

“If we get Brazil or Uzbekistan or Malta as World Cup opponents, Nigerians will still worry.”

“The country should continue to have confidence in the team, support the team, rather than pulling it down”.

The African champions’ best showing at the competition, is a second-round finish, which they achieved at USA 1994 and France 1998.
